Learn how to install, configure, and use AI Product Studio for WooCommerce. This guide covers Lite and Pro editions, OpenAI API key setup, WooCommerce product draft generation, Batch Create, license activation, upgrades, privacy, and troubleshooting.

Overview

AI Product Studio for WooCommerce helps store owners create ready-to-review WooCommerce product drafts from product photos, rough notes, category, price, SKU, stock, and other product details.

The plugin is built for a review-first workflow. Generated products are saved as drafts, so nothing is published automatically. You stay in control of the final product title, description, pricing, images, categories, and publishing decision.

OpenAI API Key Setup

AI Product Studio Lite uses your own OpenAI API key. OpenAI usage is billed directly by OpenAI through your own OpenAI account.

Saved API keys are hidden in the WordPress admin. Leaving the API key field blank keeps the current saved key. Pasting a new key replaces the saved key.

  4. Select the product kind.
  5. Add rough product notes.

  7. Click Generate Product with AI.
  8. Review the generated WooCommerce draft.
  9. Edit anything that needs adjustment.
  10. Publish the product when it is ready.

Example product notes

Simple product notes can work well when they include practical product details.

Lightweight black running shoe for men. Breathable mesh upper, comfortable foam sole, good for daily walking, gym, and casual running.
Handmade ceramic coffee mug with a minimalist white design. Suitable for home, office, coffee lovers, and gift buyers. Smooth glazed finish, comfortable handle, simple modern style.

Tips for better results

  • Describe what the product is.
  • Mention who the product is for.
  • Add material, color, size, and style when relevant.
  • Explain the use case and benefits.
  • Choose the most accurate WooCommerce category.
  • Review every draft before publishing.

Batch Create in Pro

Batch Create is available in the Pro edition. It helps you prepare multiple WooCommerce product drafts from photos and notes in one workflow.

  1. Activate a valid Pro or Agency license.
  2. Go to AI Product Studio → Batch Create.
  3. Choose how many products you want to create.
  4. Add product information for each item.
  5. Review the batch before generation.
  6. Generate products with AI.
  7. Review each WooCommerce draft before publishing.
Batch Create does not publish products automatically. It creates drafts for review.

Settings

The Settings page controls your AI provider, API key, model behavior, and product generation options.

Lite settings

  • OpenAI only
  • Recommended model
  • Short description length
  • Single product draft workflow

Pro settings

  • Multiple AI provider options
  • Advanced model selection
  • Longer description modes
  • Product generation controls

License Activation in Pro

Pro and Agency licenses are managed through Clugins. The Lite edition does not require license activation.

  1. Go to AI Product Studio → License.
  2. Paste your license key.
  3. Click Activate License.
  4. Confirm that the license status is active.

If license activation fails

  • Check that the license key is correct.
  • Confirm the license has not expired.
  • Confirm the activation limit has not been reached.
  • Make sure your website can connect to the Clugins license server.

Upgrade from Lite to Pro

The recommended upgrade method is to replace the Lite plugin with the Pro ZIP through the normal WordPress upload flow.

  1. Purchase Pro from Clugins.
  2. Download the Pro ZIP from your Clugins account.
  3. Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
  4. Upload the Pro ZIP.
  5. When WordPress says the plugin already exists, click Replace current with uploaded.
  6. Activate the plugin.
  7. Go to AI Product Studio → License.
  8. Activate your Pro license.

This replaces the Lite plugin files with the Pro plugin files while keeping the same plugin folder and saved WordPress options.

Security, Privacy, and External Services

Troubleshooting

Check Connection fails

  • Make sure your API key is correct.
  • Make sure your provider account is active.
  • Check whether billing is required by the provider.
  • Confirm your server allows outgoing HTTPS requests.

  • Choose the correct WooCommerce category.
  • Use clearer product photos.

The product was not created

  • Make sure WooCommerce is active.
  • Confirm your AI provider connection works.
  • Check that required fields are filled in.
  • Try again with shorter notes.
  • Review any error message shown by the plugin.

Pro features are not showing after upgrade

  • Make sure you uploaded the Pro ZIP, not the Lite ZIP.
  • Make sure you chose Replace current with uploaded.
  • Refresh the WordPress admin page.
  • Clear cache if needed.
  • Check that the License page is available.
